Journalism & Media

Students in the Journalism & Media department study journalistic and media work — from press editing and preparing reports and programmes to public relations and media presence — through specialised theory and practical training. The academy organises this training inside television and radio studios, where students can experience broadcast work during their studies. The curriculum is intended to help students develop skills relevant to media, communications and public-relations roles. Students are taught by media and journalism instructors with academic and industry experience.

Students in the Business Administration department study modern business management alongside accounting, statistics and human resources fundamentals. Specialised theory is combined with practical exposure through economic and management conferences and events, giving students contact with experienced professionals. The department draws on management and economics instructors with academic and practical experience. The curriculum is designed to develop skills relevant to private, public and economic-sector roles.

Students in the Surveying & Mapping department study surveying, mapping and land-survey work, including AutoCAD in the academy's computer labs. The academy describes practical field visits to new projects such as cities and roads in cooperation with Egyptian contracting firms. The curriculum covers agricultural projects, new cities and roads, and includes instructors with surveying experience.

Students in the Nursing department study nursing and healthcare services, including first aid, elderly care and child care. The academy describes practical training at hospitals across Egypt and internal training with medical cases. Lectures are delivered by nursing specialists with academic and hospital experience. Students in the Medical Analysis department study medical laboratory testing, sample preservation and examination. The department describes practical training during lectures and through external private laboratories, including sample collection, preservation and examination using detection devices and microscopes. The academy also describes placements at Egyptian government and private laboratories and instructors with medical-analysis experience.

Students in the Petroleum Technology department study petroleum technology, well drilling, earth layers and drill-bit components using real-life models. The academy describes regular field visits to drilling sites in Egypt's Western Desert in cooperation with public petroleum companies. Lecturers bring academic and practical experience in well-drilling and petroleum technology. Students should confirm role-specific licensing and employment requirements with the relevant authorities.

Students in the Tourism & Hotels department study tourism and hospitality, including guest reception, hotel services and language skills for working with international visitors. The academy describes training visits to hotels in Cairo and Giza and opportunities for some students to work alongside their studies.
