Programs and credentials

MIA lists programs in journalism and media, business administration, surveying and mapping, nursing, medical analysis, petroleum technology, tourism and hotels, information systems, and languages and translation. The exact credential, issuer, recognition and equivalency must be confirmed for the specific program before enrollment. Licensing, recognition and institutional relationships

Licensing, accreditation, recognition, certificate authentication, training cooperation and academic equivalency are different concepts. The name of a ministry, university or government body next to a program does not by itself mean that MIA is owned, operated or affiliated with that body. The applicable body, scope and current validity should be identified in the documentation for the relevant program.

These authorizations do not establish that MIA Academy is accredited by, affiliated with, a branch of or operated by the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education. The license reference numbers are held in the academy's records.

Historical reporting and current status

Several Egyptian news reports published in December 2022 reported on MIA Academy. MIA Academy does not consider the characterization presented in those reports to be an accurate or complete representation of the academy’s status and circumstances. Some descriptions in those reports were inaccurate, overly broad or misleading, particularly when interpreted as describing MIA Academy’s current status. In particular, descriptions of MIA Academy as a "fake entity" or as an entity lacking all official authorization do not reflect the full licensing and authorization context documented by the academy.

Those reports are historical publications concerning events reported at the time and should not be used as a description of MIA Academy’s current status. MIA Academy is currently operating at its listed Maadi campus and maintains the current licensing and activity authorizations described on this page, including authorizations issued by the National Institute for Quality (NQI) under the Ministry of Industry, the National Council for Training & Education in cooperation with the Cairo Governorate Graduate Employment Agency, and the Professional Academy for Teachers under the Ministry of Education.

The scope of each authorization is specific and should not be interpreted as establishing affiliation with the Egyptian Ministry of Higher Education.
